The Three Parts of Your Mind

First, it is important to understand how your mind works. We have three separate and distinct parts of our mind. These three parts are: the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the unconscious mind. Each having different responsibilities with very little communication among each other.Imagining that the parts of our mind are at different levels- first, we have a conscious mind. Our conscious mind is actively working right now. Below our conscious level of awareness, is where we will find our subconscious mind. And going even deeper to find our unconscious mind.

Improve Vehicle Performance and Efficiency With Air

For people looking to enhance the performance of their vehicle through very cost-effective means, one of the most obvious things they can do is improve the quality of air that gets into and out of the engine. This will make perfect sense in a few seconds and it can be achieved through relatively inexpensive means.

First off, the quality of air entering into the engine will have a direct impact on the quality of combustion within the engine. Feeding clean, crisp air into the engine allows it to product more efficient power. Crisp is somewhat important because cooler air is generally less-polluted air. For example, their on a spring or fall morning in a suburban area will be crisper than the air in the middle of a metropolitan area in the middle of a smog-induced summer afternoon. All things being equal, your vehicle will perform better in the suburban area in the spring or fall versus the city.

The Ford Focus SVT ZX3, ZX5 – A True Performance Hatchback

The Ford Special Vehicle’s Team (SVT) wanted to take their already popular sub-compact Focus and stuff just a little more performance into it to offer United States and Canadian customers a more powerful European style version of the vehicle. The SVT group worked very hard into late 2001 to prepare the even sportier SVT model to make ready for the 2002 market. Noticeable difference in the SVT Focus exterior included newly upgraded stylish bumpers, both front and rear, sleek looking side skirts, powerful factory fog lamps, and 17″ alloy wheels. Also included in the Focus SVT body modifications, a rear diffuser to improve performance and handling.

Speaking of performance, the SVT Focus proudly sported a beefed up version of the 2.0 liter Zetec engine. Unlike the Zetec motors found in many other Focus models, this Cosworth modified engine featured performance modified aluminum cylinder heads, performance pistons, dual stage intake manifold, and a 4-2-1 tubular exhaust header increasing horsepower from 130 to 170 making for the most powerful factory produced Focus, SVT or any other model, as of to date.

Corvette Performance Parts

To the normal eye the Corvette does not fit in the category of needing more power or extra performance, to the car enthusiast there never is enough power and you could never get too much performance. Whether you are in the first category or the second you found your way here so you must be looking for some sort of upgrade. And since all us of have different capabilities as far as being mechanics we are going to focus on the not so difficult to install performance parts for the corvette. Just because a part is going to increase power does not mean that it is going to take a professional to install it. Or maybe you would like to think that you are a professional. After any of these upgrades you may feel like you are one. Bolt on upgrades.

Starting in the front and working our way back. The first bolt on upgrade starts under the hood. It is a cold air intake system. I have installed these and if I can do it anyone can. It will take about 30 minutes depending on your understanding of the instructions but most instructions come full with step by step pictures. The great thing about cold air intake systems is that they are really easy to install and for the ease, you get a lot out of it. Expecting an extra 25 horses is not out of the question with around 30 ft/lbs of torque as well. The way these systems create more power for the Corvette is by increasing the air flow to the engine. Engines need to breathe just like any of us and when the engine doesn’t get the maximum amount of air it isn’t running to the fullest of its ability. They can also increase your gas mileage by a couple miles per gallon while driving conservatively.
